Finding the three doors.
Picas is on Plaza de la Merced, in Málaga’s old town. The square is about 5 minutes on foot from the Roman Theatre, at the foot of the Alcazaba, and about 10 minutes from the Cathedral or Calle Larios. From Muelle Uno allow about 17 minutes. Numbers 19 and 20 are next door to each other on the square.
Taberna Picas Málaga is in Pasaje Campos, about 70 m from number 20 on Plaza de la Merced, under a minute on foot. From the north-east corner of the square, walk up Calle El Chiclanero; Pasaje Campos crosses it after about 35 m. You can also reach the passage from Calle Victoria.
Good to know
Does it matter which door?
Not really. Picas is one place with three doors: two next door to each other on Plaza de la Merced and a third in the passage beside the square, about 70 m away. It’s the same menu at all three, and when one is full we seat you at another. Only the hours differ: the passage door opens at 13:30.
